Start with the customer
Before choosing colours or adding every product you could sell, describe who the shop is for. What are they looking for? What would help them feel confident enough to buy? A clear answer makes your assortment, pictures and copy easier to choose.
Begin with a small, coherent collection. Give each product enough information to answer the questions a customer would ask in person. Materials, dimensions, use and delivery matter more than a long list of adjectives.
Build a complete buying journey
Choose a theme that makes your products easy to explore. Add clear product pictures and a short explanation of your business. Prepare payment methods, shipping information and contact details before inviting visitors.
Read the shop on a phone as well as a computer. Check links, product variants and the steps leading to checkout. Treat this as a customer experience, not just a design exercise.
Improve one thing at a time
Once your shop is ready, use real questions and sales patterns to decide what to improve. You do not need a large catalogue or an elaborate campaign to learn something useful.
